Tai Chi FundamentalsTM
Tai Chi (Taiji) is an ancient Chinese martial art that is well known for its slow, graceful movements and has been shown to improve balance, coordination, and many other aspects of both physical and mental wellbeing. Tai Chi FundamentalsTM was developed through collaboration between a traditional Tai Chi teacher and a physical therapist. It is designed to impart the authentic essence of traditional Tai Chi in stages of progressive complexity. Tai Chi FundamentalsTM has three basic components: Movement Patterns, Form, and Mind-Body Principles. Movement Patterns are tools for cultivating the coordination and quality of movement required for Tai Chi practice. The Form is a “moving meditation,” a sequence of movements that has been shown to improve many aspects of one’s physical and mental health. Mind-Body Principles are the theory and philosophy that inform Tai Chi practice and can be applied to daily life.
Martial Movements
Intended for those with little or no martial arts experience, Martial Movements is a moderate intensity conditioning class that focuses on efficiency of movement and builds balance, strength and coordination. All you need is some open space in front of your Zoom device to follow along through guided solo practice of basic body movements taken from a variety of martial art systems including Aikido, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Capoeira, Karate, Jiujitsu, Escrima/Kali and more.

Floor Time: Ongoing
The Floor Time Ongoing class reinforces and builds upon the skills introduced in the Floor Time Fundamentals Course. Topics include: safe and efficient techniques for getting down to the floor and back up again, ways of transitioning between various sitting and lying positions, covering ground on the floor, sitting on the floor comfortably and functionally, core strength and stability exercises, muscle and joint self-care techniques, and more!

Classical Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga uses the physical body as a vehicle on the Path toward unifying the seemingly separate parts of your body, mind and spirit. Jonathan is certified through the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, a recognized member of the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS) system. This Hatha Yoga class includes breathing exercises (pranayama), isometric strength and flexibility exercises (postures/asanas) and deep relaxation techniques (savasana) to promote a supple, strong body, and a calm, focused mind.
